Thiess commenced operations at Curragh Coal Mine in 2004 with the construction of mine infrastructure. Under our current contract, we will remove up to 49 million cubic metres of overburden and 9.3 million tonnes of coal annually. Our scope also includes operation and maintenance of our own mobile plant and equipment, as well as the client’s Bucyrus 495HR2 electric rope shovel.
