The project will involve planning and preconstruction activities to construct a rail line in south-east Melbourne to service the Monash Precinct. The project will complete a business case to determine the optimal solution to address congestion along the corridor, such as heavy or light rail. The project will also undertake detailed planning and early construction works. The aim of the project is to connect the Monash precinct to the Melbourne transport network and provide access to economic activity in central Melbourne. A second stage of the proposal could extend to Rowville.

Foresight Solar Australia has awarded UGL the contract to design and build stage one of the Bannerton 110MWDC Solar Park, near Robinvale in Victoria. UGL is undertaking the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of the solar park, including the associated substation and electricity network grid connection.
Operating among 90,000 trees on a working almond farm, the UGL team is constructing the single axis tracking system, substation and network grid connection. Once operational, UGL will operate and maintain (O&M) the Bannerton Solar Farm for an initial two-year period.

The Byerwen Mine is located 20 kilometres west of Glenden in Queensland’s Bowen Basin. Once operational the Byerwen Mine will produce up to 10 million tonnes of hard coking coal per year.
Coal from the Byerwen Mine will be railed to Abbot Point Coal Terminal for export.
Byerwen Coal was granted the mining leases required for the project in May 2017. Construction and mining operations have commenced.

Work has begun on the construction of an aquatic centre and park in Sydney’s Green Square district, designed by Andrew Burges Architects with Grimshaw and Taylor Cullity Lethlean. The Gunyama Park Aquatic and Recreation Centre is the largest development of its kind since the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Located at Joynton Avenue, the site will house a 50-metre outdoor pool, a 25-metre indoor pool, a leisure pool, a hydrotherapy pool and a gymnasium. The design of the complex, which was unanimously selected over 144 other entries in a competition run by the City of Sydney in 2014, is inspired by rock pool formations, with the two lane pools arranged around an organically shaped “beach.”

Chinese-backed developer Forise Holdings said the 89-storey residential apartment Spirit Tower, offering 479 residential dwellings, will create a new landmark for Gold Coast city.
Spirit Tower is of mass proportions and will include an unprecedented 2700sq m of residential facilities, a 1800sq m four-bedroom penthouse said to cost $38.8 million, rooftop facilities and include three levels of ground floor retail.
Canberra construction giant Geocon has unveiled the “jewel in the crown” of its major city project, a $65 million luxury apartment complex directly opposite Glebe Park.
Envie would be built alongside Geocon’s Tryst and Metropol towers, marking the final piece in the developer’s $319 million redevelopment of its sprawling Cooyong Street land holding. The eight-storey complex would include 90 units, five commercial spaces and a rooftop garden on land at the corner of Boolee Street.

NSW Land and Housing Corporation (LAHC) has been working with the Aspire Consortium (Frasers Property Australia and Mission Australia Housing) on transforming the 8.2 hectare site on the corner of Herring Road and Epping Road. World-class urban design, quality facilities and public open spaces will support a cohesive and sustainable community and make Ivanhoe a highly desirable place to live.
Current planning controls indicate that the site has a gross floor area of around 278,000m2 which, dependent on unit sizes, will allow for a range of 3,000 – 3,400 units including over 950 social housing units and 128 affordable rental homes being built over the next 10-12 years.
The Pacific Highway upgrade is one of Australia’s largest road infrastructure projects. The Australian and New South Wales Governments have been upgrading will be completed by 2020.
Roads and Maritime Services is upgrading the Princes Highway between Berry and Bomaderry. The $450 million project will improve safety, increase road capacity, improve traffic flow and deliver better and more reliable journeys on this section of the highway.
Planning is currently underway to construct a new four lane Princes Highway bridge over the Shoalhaven River at Nowra. The Federal Government will fund half of the projects total $310 million cost with the New South Wales Government chipping in the other $155 million. On average, around 50,000 vehicles will cross the bridge every day.
Stage 1 of the Parramatta Light Rail will link Westmead to Carlingford via the Parramatta CBD and Camellia. According to Queensland’s Department of Transport and Main Roads, the Bruce Highway Upgrade Program is the largest road infrastructure program that Queensland has ever seen. The decade long program will improve safety, flood resilience and capacity along the Bruce Highway from Brisbane to Cairns. The $8.5 billion program will receive $6.7 billion from the Australian Government with another $1.8 billion being contributed by the Queensland Government.
The Bruce Highway runs over 1,677 kilometres from Brisbane to Cairns and is Queensland’s most significant highway. Traffic levels on the Bruce Highway range from 4,000 to 145,000 vehicles each day.

WestConnex is a 33-kilometre (21 mi) predominately underground motorway scheme currently under construction in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. The motorway scheme, a joint project of the New South Wales and Australian governments, encompasses widening and extension of the M4 Western Motorway (M4), a new section for the M5 Motorway (M5), and a new inner western bypass of the Sydney CBD connecting the M4 and M5.
Construction began on the $6.8 billion West Gate Tunnel in January 2018. Whitehall Street in Footscray has seen workers erect a site and begin clearing and excavating the land at what will become the northern portal of the West Gate Tunnel, which will link the West Gate Freeway in Yarraville to the CityLink in Docklands.
At the Whitehall Street site, workers will dig down more than seven storeys, which will act as the launching site for the project’s two 90 metre long, $50 million tunnel boring machines.
