Sleeping out in the cold for a worthy cause

You might be surprised to know that on any given night there are up to 289 children who are experiencing homelessness in Canberra.

The Vinnies CEO Sleepout is held on 21 June and calls on leaders in business, community and government to sleep without shelter to help change the lives of Australians experiencing homelessness.

This month, Safe Work Australia Deputy CEO Amanda Grey will brave the Canberra winter to raise much-needed funds to reduce homelessness and build awareness of this issue in our community.

“Homelessness can affect anyone at any time,” said Ms Grey.

“I have children and can’t imagine them facing the harsh conditions that so many others endure.

“With over 100,000 Australians regularly experiencing homelessness, I’d like to help Vinnies by raising at least $2000.”

You can help break the cycle of homelessness by donating today.

Your donations help Vinnies provide food, accommodation and essential services to people experiencing homelessness.
