Winners announced for 2018 National Safety Awards of Excellence

As sponsor of the Best Health and Wellbeing Program award, we presented Monash University and Pearson Australia as joint winners at the awards event in October.

The Monash University entry focused on the university’s transformation to a smoke-free environment on its Australian campuses and Pearson Australia received recognition for its Pearson WELL program to improve the mental health of its people and develop a sustainable workforce. Congratulations to both winners for their innovation and dedication to their workplace.

Other finalists for the Best Health and Wellbeing Program award included drilling and well servicing company Easternwell, work injury insurer and regulator ReturnToWorkSA and Queensland electricity generator the Stanwell Corporation.

Now in their 26th year, the National Safety Awards of Excellence are Australia’s longest running and only independent awards, recognising outstanding work health and safety initiatives. The awards are an initiative of the NSCA Foundation, a member based, non-profit organisation working together with members to improve workplace health and safety throughout Australia.
